As a young girl, I dreamed of becoming a teacher and traveling to Africa to help people in need.

Years later, I achieved what felt like my dream job. I had the opportunity to travel the world through humanitarian work, serving vulnerable communities across nearly 50 countries and six continents, helping bring hearing healthcare to people in need. From the outside, my life looked exciting and successful.

But behind the scenes, I was struggling.

For years, I used alcohol, drugs, and unhealthy relationships to cope with pain, anxiety, trauma, and stress. My addiction led me into dangerous behavior, including blackouts and 20 years of drug and alcohol abuse. In the end, marijuana had such a strong hold on my life that I was even smuggling it internationally while traveling for humanitarian work. Looking back, I realize how close I came to losing everything, including my freedom, career, and even putting my team in danger.

Part of my struggle was rooted in childhood trauma, including my parents’ divorce and other painful experiences I did not know how to process. Eventually, burnout cost me the career I loved. I felt like my life was over, but looking back now, I can clearly see that God was using that painful season to give me a new life.

In 2017, shortly after beginning my recovery journey, Jesus revealed Himself to me in a deeply personal way, and my life began to change from the inside out. I was born again and began discovering true healing, freedom, and identity in Christ.

That same year, I launched Jenerosity Foundation. Looking back, I can honestly say I started it prematurely. I had the vision, but God still needed to grow my character, leadership, courage, healing, and clarity for the assignment He was preparing me to walk into.

Over the last nine years, God has continued shaping both me and the vision for Jenerosity Foundation. After being let go from my last job, I knew it was finally time to fully step into my calling and the other dream God placed in my heart as a little girl: becoming a teacher and mentor to the next generation.

Today, through Jenerosity Foundation and our youth assemblies and events, I have the privilege of speaking life, hope, resilience, faith, and healthy coping skills into students facing real adversity.

Many young people today are carrying heavy burdens, including abuse, anxiety, depression, family instability, poverty, loneliness, and parents struggling with addiction. Without healthy coping tools and support, many begin turning to worldly things to numb the pain. Because I know firsthand where that path can lead, I am passionate about helping youth understand they do not have to go down that road. God has a plan and purpose for their lives, and adversity does not have to define their future. My prayer is that every part of this work points people back to Jesus and reminds others that healing, freedom, resilience, and purpose are possible. No one is too far gone, and God can redeem even the most broken parts of our story for good.
